3 Players to Watch | North Bay @ Ottawa

The Ottawa 67’s 2017-18 regular season comes to a close on Sunday and with such a tight playoff race, the boys will be playing hard until the final horn.

Quinn Yule

The Ottawa 67’s rookie had a career best performance last Saturday. The 17 year old had his first career multi point and multi goal game against the Kingston Frontenacs, including a shorthanded goal. Yule has been a mainstay for the Barber Poles all season and provides size upfront. The 6’5” winger is the tallest forward on the team by a couple inches and is hard to miss out on the ice.

Jacob Cascagnette

The Ottawa 67’s over-ager plays in the final regular season game of his career on Sunday and since coming over to the 67’s in a trade shortly after winter break, the 6’3” centre has been reliable down the middle for the Barber Poles. Cazy is averaging a point every other game since his time in Ottawa with 14 in 28 games. Keep your eye on this vet to have a solid performance in his last go around in the regular season.

Adam Thilander

North Bay’s first round pick out of Sweden in the 2016 Import Draft is the third highest scorer on the Battalion despite being a defenceman. The 6’ rearguard has 12 goals and 30 assists for 42 points in 65 games this season with the Troops including eight points in his last seven games. Despite going undrafted, the 19 year old spent time this past offseason with the Carolina Hurricanes at their rookie camp and has found international success winning a silver and bronze medal at the World Under-18 Championship and Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament respectively.
