The Ottawa 67’s came up short in the final game of a three-game road trip, falling 7-2 to the Sarnia Sting.
After jumping out to an early lead when Tye Felhaber scored his third of the season midway through the first period, the Sting responded with six-straight goals.
Noel Hoefenmayer scored the other goal for Ottawa, his first of the 2017-18 campaign.
Olivier Lafreniere and Olivier Tremblay split goaltending duties for the 67’s, while Aidan Hughes picked up the win for Sarnia.
The 67’s return home Thanksgiving Weekend with games against Peterborough (Oct. 6) and Flint (Oct. 8).
- In addition to his goal, Ottawa’s Tye Felhaber also picked up an assist.
Jordan Ernst, with two goals, and Anthony Salinitri, with three assists, led the way for Sarnia.
- Both teams failed to convert on three first-period power plays. Each side would finish scoreless on four opportunities in the game.
