Salituro signs ELC with NHL’s Blue Jackets

COLUMBUS, OH – The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed center Dante Salituro to a three-year, two-way NHL/American Hockey League entry level contract, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Salituro, 19, has registered 111 goals and 149 assists for 260 points with 225 penalty minutes in 265 career games with the Ottawa 67’s of the Ontario Hockey League over the past four seasons. In 2015-16, he set career highs in goals, assists, points and plus/minus rating with 38-45-83, 55 penalty minutes and a +5 plus/minus rating in 65 games. He added 2-2-4 and six penalty minutes in five playoff games.

A native of Willowdale, Ontario, Salituro made his OHL debut in 2012-13 and has increased his goal, assist and point totals in each of his four OHL seasons. After collecting 14-26-40 in 64 games as an OHL rookie, he picked up 22-37-59 in 68 games in 2013-14 and notched 37-41-78 and 38 penalty minutes in 65 contests in 2014-15.
