The Ottawa 67’s contributed four players to the 2010 NHL Entry Draft this past weekend. Dalton Smith, Tyler Toffoli, Ryan Martindale and Petr Mrazek were all picked up in what proved to be a successful draft for all eligible players on the 67’s 2009-2010 roster.

Dalton Smith was picked up in the 2nd Round, 34th overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets, Tyler Toffoli was also drafted in the 2nd Round, 47th Overall by the Los Angeles Kings, Ryan Martindale went to the Edmonton Oilers in the 3rd Round, 61st Overall and import goalie, Petr Mrazek, was drafted 141st Overall in the 5th Round by the Detroit Red Wings.

42 OHL Players were selected in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Your Ottawa 67’s were one of three teams (Windsor Spitfires & Owen Sound Attack) to each produce four players in the draft. With all 4 drafted players expected to be dressing for the 67’s once again this season, 2010-2011 could prove to be a year to remember at the Urbandale Center.

We would like to congratulate our boys in barberpoles for making us proud all season long on the ice and once again at the draft!
