Read to Succeed School Program
The Ottawa 67’s Read to Succeed Program is designed to emphasize the importance of reading, receiving a great education and lifelong learning. The program is designed for students in Grades 1 to 3. Players from the 67’s strive to set an example for your students and promote the importance of literacy to your students through classroom visits.
Players will spend time reading Brady Brady hockey storybooks, authored by Mary Shaw (wife of former Ottawa 67’s defensemen and NHLer Brad Shaw) to your students, answering questions and provide bookmarks for students to have autographed as a reminder of the important message presented during the visit.
Our visit runs approximately 60-90 minutes. Dates are going fast and are limited to Tuesday and Wednesday mornings between October and March.
