Teddy Bear Toss Game Set for December 12th

By: Ottawa67s.com Staff

The Holidays are just around the corner…but not for every little boy and girl. Hundreds of kids in the Ottawa region have very little to celebrate, which is why the 67’s have partnered with the Salvation Army for our annual “Teddy Bear Toss” game. It helps put smiles on the faces of children who, more often than not, have little joy in their lives.

Fans are invited to bring a new or gently used teddy bear to the 67’s game on Friday, December 12 to donate to a family in need.  When the 67’s score their first goal of the game, we toss our bears onto the ice for pick-up and delivery to the Salvation Army for distribution.  Our friends at Kal Tire are providing the sleigh…well, truck, really… to transport our precious cargo to the kids.

Nothing will put you in the holiday spirit like the joy of knowing you’ve made a difference in the life of a child.  So get a bear … tell a friend … order some tickets and let’s make this the best Teddy Bear Toss ever!

Added Bonus … Sing for Santa

School choirs from around the region will add to the festive Teddy Bear spirit by singing for Santa.  Don’t be a jingle bell…sing along to your favorite holiday classic.  Young and old will have a ball as we deck the hall.

Tickets

So bring your bear and your singing voice on Friday December 12th. If you don’t have tickets yet, reserve them by clicking here, visiting the TD Place Box Office or by calling 613-232-6767 x1.  And please forward this email to a friend or colleague who might also want to give and get the joy of the Holidays.
