67’s players visit Build-A-Bear Workshop

What better way to prepare for Sunday’s Teddy Bear Toss than to spend the day at Build-A-Bear Workshop.

67’s players Sam Studnicka, Ryan Orban, and Travis Barron designed and crafted over a dozen teddy bears on Wednesday morning at the Build-A-Bear Bayshore Shopping Centre location.

Riley the Raccoon and some helpful children also lended a hand, as Ottawa gets ready for the 67’s Holiday Game this Sunday at 3 p.m. In total, Build-A-Bear is donating 100 bears to the team’s Teddy Bear Toss at the Holiday Game.

You can help too! Great seats are still available for Sunday’s Holiday Game, purchase your’s here, by calling 613-232-6767 x1, or pick them up directly from the TD Place Box Office, located beside Gate 3.

Fans coming to the 67’s Holiday Game are encouraged to bring a new or gently used plush toy. Once the team scores their first goal, all the bears in the arena get tossed onto the ice. The teddies are then collected, placed in the Kal Tire sleigh, and distributed to less fortunate children throughout the Ottawa area.

As an added bonus, Sing-For-Santa, a group choirs from around the city, will serenade the crowd with festive songs and carols.

The team will also be available after the game, to sign autographs and pose for photos with you!
