67’s Skills Competition

It’s time for your minor hockey team to go head-to-head with the Ottawa 67’s and put your skills to the test! Our players took part in their own skills competitions earlier this season and the results are all listed below.
Every team that submits their results will be entered into a chance to win a 67’s sponsorship worth $1,500.
DRILL INSTRUCTIONS
✓ FASTEST SKATER

✓ Each player completes a full lap of the ice from red line to red line.
✓ HARDEST SHOT

✓ The puck was placed at hash marks; each player starts at blue line and gets two shot attempts.
✓ WEAVE AGILITY WITH PUCK
Drill Info
✓ The player will weave in and out of four flags up and back, while maintaining full control of the puck the whole time.
✓ PUCK CONTROL/SKATING AGILITY/PASSING ACCURACY RACE

✓ The player starts at the goal line and stick handles through 10 pucks, continues to the blue line where they will perform agility moves around a training aid.
✓ They will then continue to the red line and attempt two passes into a small puck catcher/net.
✓ Once completed, the player will continue to the far blue line and at that time attempt a long pass to a pass rebounder at the opposing goal line.
✓ Once the player makes contact, they sprint back down through the gate that they started at to begin the drill.
✓ BREAKAWAY CONTEST

✓ The two goaltenders will compete against each other. Break your team into two, and the goalie with the longest save streak wins!
