The Ottawa 67’s head into the weekend playing three conference matchups against teams that are all above them in the standings. With the 67’s looking to climb the standings, here is who you need to keep an eye on when the boys are at home Friday and Saturday.
The Ottawa 67’s assistant captain had more points than the entire Peterborough Petes lineup during last Sunday’s game. With a total of four assists, Sasha outscored the Petes by one point and set a career high for points in a single game. The 6th round selection (185th overall) by the San Jose Sharks in last year’s NHL Entry Draft is averaging more than two points a game over his last four played with a total nine points in that stretch. The former Top 10 pick in the OHL draft currently leads the team in scoring with 42 points and is tied for team lead in both goals (19) and assists (23).
The former 13th round selection by the Battalion back in 2014, Brazeau has been a regular for the Battalion since cracking the roster in 2015. The 6’5” right wing currently leads his team in both goals (29) and points (53) and has managed 15 points over his last nine games. The 19 year old went undrafted in the NHL but attended both the Columbus Blue Jackets rookie and main camps this offseason.
Robertson leads an impressive Frontenacs team in goals, assists, points and plus/minus. Robertson is averaging 1.33 points per game this season with 60 in 45 games and has scored 15 points in his last eight. Kingston’s assistant captain is following up on his impressive sophomore campaign which saw the 6’3” winger total 81 points in 68 games including 42 goals. Robertson, a prospect of the Dallas Stars was selected 2nd round, 39th overall in last year’s NHL Entry Draft.
