67’s defenceman Noel Hoefenmayer has been named the Ontario Hockey League’s defenceman of the month of January, the league announced Monday, making him the recipient of this award for the second consecutive month.
This is the third time this season that Hoefenmayer is elected as Defenceman of the Month, as he was previously handed the same award after the months of October and December. In January, the 67’s overage defenceman put up 3 goals and 15 assists for a total of 18 points in 13 games played. He now has a total of 19 goals and 48 assists for 67 points in 46 games this season for Hoefenmayer, who not only leads all OHL defencemen in points, but also the whole CHL.
Hoefenmayer and his teammates take the ice as soon as this Friday, as they will be traveling to Hamilton once again to kick off their three-in-three weekend, in which they will be also visiting the Peterborough Petes on Saturday, before rounding out their weekend at home on Sunday afternoon inside The Arena at TD Place.

Hoefenmayer et ses coéquipiers seront de retour en action vendredi soir, alors qu’ils débuteront un week-end de trois matchs en autant de jours. Ils amorceront cette séquence sur la route contre les Bulldogs de Hamilton, avant d’ensuite visiter les Petes de Peterborough, pour finalement terminer leur week-end devant les partisans de l’Aréna de la Place TD dimanche après-midi dès 14h00.
