TD Launches The TD Community Resilience Initiative

TD has a long-standing commitment to supporting its customers, colleagues and communities. The spread of COVID-19 is creating an additional burden on our communities, including some of the most vulnerable members of society. In response, TD has launched the TD Community Resilience Initiative as part of the TD Ready Commitment, the Bank’s corporate citizenship platform. TD will allocate $25 million (CAD) to help strengthen community resilience today and into the future. This comprehensive program includes funding, employee engagement and on-going collaboration with organizations and community groups that operate locally, regionally and nationally in Canada and the United States across TD’s operating footprint.

Over the past several weeks, Gabriel Pizza and its network of franchisees have championed numerous non-profit organizations, healthcare workers, first-responders, and establishments committed to seniors’ wellness, with several thousands of hot meals. Our pledge is to surpass 5,000 meals before the end of this month.  As well, the fundraising for Ollie’s Pizza continues with a portion of each sale being donated to Candlelighters, a local charity that enriches the lives of children, and their families, coping with childhood cancer.

Access Storage

Inspired by the over 150 community and charitable organizations that we partner with, our immediate support went to providing Hospitals with PPE, hygiene supplies as well as Portable Storage which was donated to create room for more hospital beds. Across the country thousands of food items were procured, sorted and delivered to food banks. In addition, we worked with our partners at long term care facilities on initiatives to keep staff and residents feeling supported. We will continue our efforts in all these areas. #AccessMoreSmiles
