Barber Poles aim for Hamilton Spectator Trophy in visit to Oshawa

The Ottawa 67’s have a road win over the Oshawa Generals at the top of their minds, Friday night, but while they focus simply on the task at hand, a bigger prize lies in the periphery.
If they earn just a single point in the standings, tonight, the Barber Poles can clinch first place in the Ontario Hockey League, and their third Hamilton Spectator Trophy in the last four seasons. Puck drop is slated for 7:35pm, and fans can stream live on CHL TV, or hear Kenny Walls call the action on TSN 1200.
Friday marks the back end of a home-and-home set, featuring the final two regular season meetings between the 67’s and Generals. Despite Oshawa gaining an early lead on Wednesday afternoon, Ottawa exploded for eight goals, en route to an 8-3 win inside The Arena at TD Place. Will Gerrior tallied his first career hat trick, along with goals from Gavin Ewles, Jack Beck, Brady Stonehouse, Jack Matier, and Matthew Mayich. Stuart Rolofs scored a pair for the road side, with Ryan Gagnier netting the other. Max Donoso out-duelled the tandem of Jacob Oster, and Carter Bickle, for his 30th win of the season.
It was a milestone game for Donoso, who became the fifth goaltender in 67’s history to post 30 wins in a season.
