Okhotyuk to feature for Russia at Five Nations Tournament

Ottawa 67’s defenceman Nikita Okhotyuk has been named to the Russian roster for the upcoming Five Nation’s Tournament in Plymouth from February 13-17. The Russians open the under-18 tournament February 14 against Finland followed by the Czech Republic on February 15, the host United States on February 16 and closing out the tournament February 17 against Sweden.

The tournament, which will feature some of the top 2018 NHL Draft eligible talent, marks the second time in less than three months that  Okhotyuk has represented Russia. The 17-year-old blueliner also suited up for his native Russia in the World Junior A Challenge in Nova Scotia in December.

With points in 11 of their last 13 games (6-2-4-1) the 67’s have three more games remaining in their home stand before a heavy road schedule to finish this season.

Next up for the Barber Poles is a date with the Oshawa Generals on February 10 – a night that the 67’s will honour the most recent decade of alumni from 2007-2017 that included the likes of Logan Couture, Tyler Toffoli, Sean Monahan, Peter Mrazek, Codi Ceci and  Travis Konecny just to name some of the impressive cast of talent from that decade. Tickets start at just $11 and are available at
