Hockey City is Here!

With the Ottawa 67’s back on the ice, Lansdowne has been transformed into Hockey City and TD Place is its City Hall! Hockey City features everything you need. Restaurants? Check. Shops? Check. Park? Check. Parking? Check. It’s a city within our city and all of us that live and work here are looking forward to welcoming you and your friends and family.

The 67’s opened the season with two road tough losses and will be looking for their first win of the season as they return to TD Place for their 2015 home opener. All indications are it’s going to be a big year for the boys in barber pole and a great time for the fans jumping to the energy inside the arena. The objective for the team is pretty easy to sum-up … win. That’s it. And for the arena staff the objective is also clear … welcome fans. We’re ready for you!

The 67’s had an impressive inaugural season returning to Lansdowne last year after a 2-year construction hiatus. They improved by 29 points in the standings and made the playoffs for the first time in three seasons. Coach/GM Jeff Brown is on the record as saying he will not be satisfied with status quo. He and the team are in it to win it this year and they have 20 returning veterans pushed by a talented crop of newcomers so expect some good things right out of the gate.

Their home opener is set for this Sunday at TD Place on September 27, starting at 3 p.m. The Barrie Colts will provide the opposition and great seats are still available by visiting capitaltickets.ca or by calling 613-232-6767 x1.

So remember, Hockey City is open and ready to welcome you night and day this 67’s season. Come early to explore the sights and soak-up the atmosphere. It’s a great place to visit anytime, particularly when “City Hall” is open for 67’s fun and excitement.
