To celebrate Father’s Day, 67’s staffers Hailey and Alex sat down with a few of the players and their dads to talk about their father/son relationship, what it’s meant for the player’s hockey career and what it’s meant to the fathers seeing their sons play for the Ottawa 67’s.
Episode 1 – Cedrick and Frank Andree
We sat down with Ceddy and his dad Frank (above) to talk about growing up in Ottawa and how exciting it was to then be drafted by the Ottawa 67’s. They share a few amazing memories of Ceddy’s time with the 67’s and the impact that Frank has had on Ceddy’s life through hockey.
Episode 2 – Jack and Mark Matier
We got the chance to talk with 67’s Jack Matier and his dad Mark who had played 3 years with the Soo Greyhound. Jack talks about the impact his dad had on his hockey career growing up and the special moment for the entire family getting to see Jack take the ice for the first time this past season.
Mark also shares a few memories of playing against Brian Kilrea’s Ottawa 67’s.
